This is my favorite horse.... the one I was talking about a few months back. This guy was the sweetest thing and sold for a grand total of $17,000+. The lady paid 17k for a German Warmblood import that was out of shape, had "vices", and hadn't shown in months (or 1yr+). :disbelief: I would have bought him (for less $$ of course) once I graduated collage but that's years away. I miss my boy so much but he's owned by someone who will hopeful understand him like I did. (Unlike his previous owner)

Name: (Barn name; show name unkown) Beamer
Gender: Gelding
Age: 6yrs in 08
Height 16.2?hh
Breed: TB/?? Warmblood mix
Discipline: Dressage and some jumping
Color: Red chestnut (metallic sheen too)
Markings: Star connected to stripe, no body markings

I love you boy, you are my Beamer.:hug: See link for why I call him that; it is his name but it's also slang for a type of expensive sports car: [link]

Background:
His previous owner needed a quieter horse. If she would have asked I would have exercised him for her but nobody trusted him. And it's not like he was vicious, his idea of a buck was like a spring horse type hop. Just enough to throw his old owner. (He didn't like her at all) That ended his showing/riding career with her. He would act up in the wash stall, step on her feet, and generally be what she considered a nuisance.

On more than one occasion I was around to watch her work with him. She's not a horse person in my opinion. I was cleaning stalls one day and she had put his shipping boots on. He was so stressed about the restrictive things, tried to kick them off once she left him to get something. I started talking to him and he looked over his shoulder at me. I'll never forget the look he gave me. "Help! Get these off!" Just the look of helplessness in his big eyes. I felt so bad but I couldn't take the boots off. (I would have been in trouble) I just kept talking and he did stay still as I talked to him, telling him how he was "Ok and a good boy." Until his owner got back. Then I had to help load him into the trailer. His owner warned me he kicks; didn't like people behind him. So I stayed off to the side. He backed out several times (not kicking once) and the third time he walked to me, "I don't want to go in there!"

It's the events like that that made him dear to me. His owner never realized he fell asleep on my shoulder once. She never knew what time he laid down for a nap every day or even that he laid down. Since he's been gone the barn's not been the same. Not as fun or enjoyable and the engery he brought is gone. I miss his sloppy horse licks when he cleaned all the sweat off my hands, his bright attitude every morning at 8am when I can to feed them. The way he was perfectly still when I gave him a bath. How he loved to listen to me singing Journey songs while grooming him. How he'd swing the isle tie around, smacking the stall wall with it, for attention. One in a million he was.

If you guys want to read the poem I wrote about him let me know. :)

:star: The beautiful pic YOB did of him! (A perfect drawing... from his body build to coat color!) [link]

On a side note my HARPG Stallion is based on him ( I just changed his breed): [link]

Thanks. :) Yeah but at least his new owner seemed to match better.

See the discription; I added some back ground info on him. :)

That would be a bummer. Knowing where the horse is going is a nice comfort to have too. I do know that Beam went to West Virgina but what farm, I can only speculate based on the lady's trailer.
