~~~~~~~~~~ Harlequine Breed Show 2009
In celebration of Life-d-sign and Moonfeather's beautiful breed I'm hosting a show.
Important:
Hi everyone,
First off I appreciate everyone who gave me their opinion.
I will be hosting another show, a Winter one of sorts. I have a few ideas so I'll try to get a journal about it typed up asap.
I've started on the prizes I have to draw. I will be starting with the BL Undersaddle and work my way through them. I will be contacting the others who donated about the time frame the winners are looking at.
All winners are chosen by a randomizer. This is not based on skill/drawing ability.
If there are not enough entries I will merge the In Hand classes together, Mare and Foal classes, and the Undersaddle classes together. The 1st-3rd place winners will then be chosen from the randomizer.
Grand Champion is randomly selected from 1st place winners of each class. If classes are merged they will be randomly selected from the 1st place winners of In Hand, Mare and Foal, and Understaddle.
Reserve Champion is randomly selected from 2nd place winners of each class. If classes are merged they will be randomly selected from 2nd place winners of In Hand, Mare and Foal, and Understaddle.
Best In Show is randomly selected from 3nd place winners of each class. If classes are merged they will be randomly selected from the 3rd place winners of In Hand, Mare and Foal, and Understaddle.
Please note me with your entries... I don't want to forget or miss anyone.
What to Draw:
~For In Hand all horses must be in a bridle; even if it's a hackamore. A handler is preferred but you don't have to include one. (I know humans are hard to draw) Background should be a outside/inside arena... it doesn't have to be really detailed. (Keep in mind IHA is up north so if it's outside I'd love to see Canadian/Alaskan settings. Otherwise an arena is fine)
~For undersaddle the horse must be in full appropriate tack with rider. A silhouette rider is fine but you must have a rider. Background for different disciplines are as follows:
~Dressage, outside/inside arena. (Keep in mind IHA is up north so if it's outside I'd love to see Canadian/Alaskan settings. Otherwise an arena is fine) Braided/short mane with braided tail.
Horse performing one of the following dressage movements
collected and extended walk, trot or canter; trot or canter half-pass (TRAVERSALE); passage, piaffe, pirouette; one, two, & three tempi changes
If you have a song/music in mind for your entry please tell us. ^^
~Show jumping, indoor arena. I'll post a few jump references but you can make up your own.
If there are not enough entries I will merge the In Hand classes together, Mare and Foal class, and the Undersaddle classes together. The 1st-3rd place winners will then be chosen from the randomizer.
Show starts 18th of May 2009. It will end 20th July 2009. You can submit entries after the 18th.
One horse can be entered into multiple competitions.
More than one of your horses can enter in the same class
If two of your horses are in the same class you must have a different handler/rider.
Entry detail- full body, fully colored, background, rider, tack - you can use any pose/angle that fits these requirements.
The horse has to exist before 18th May 2009; No creation of horses for this event!
The horse must have been trained in that discipline; Otherwise it will be disqualified.
If your horse is not trained in a discipline you wish to enter a training pic is required: horse with/without rider with correct tack, background is optional
For an In Hand training pic you only have to do a headshot of the horse in a bridle
Related disciplines are accepted but at a disadvantage. The accepted relations are as follows:
Steeple chase
Cross Country
Hunter
Haute Ecole, Airs Above the Ground
Jumping
Western Trail
If you have any other questions comment on this journal, I'd be happy to answer them.
Thanks,
HockeyFilly58
Devious Comments
I've drawn pictures like [link] and [link] that have the ribbon/rosary things around their necks. I could also do full bodies and not just head shots if you like
Once I get some people entering I'll be able to tell how many prizes we'll end up needing.
If a dancer was forced to dance by whip and spike, he would be no more beautiful than a horse trained under similar conditions - Xenophon
I might give Sheeza Stayer a shot at the "In Hand" category.
~Adventure Wind Stables~
The only equipment you use for In Hand is a bridle so you'd only need to see her pretty head in the training pic.
You're welcome and thanks for your interest!
